Charity Teams

The organisers of the Charity Cycle Ride nominate three headline charities each year who will be the main beneficiaries of the event. However, if you and your friends would prefer to raise money for your own favourite charity, you can do so by entering the event as a ‘Charity Team’.

1. To Enter as a Charity Team

Go to the ‘Register’ section of this website, and fill in your registration details and your participant details as normal. In the ‘Ride and Charity details’ make sure you select ‘yes’ to ‘raising money for a specific charity, then select ‘other’ and fill in your charity’s details.

2. Charity Team Members

All riders in a Charity Team must be registered as participants. You can register any number of riders in a Charity Team. You don’t have to enter all of them at the same time (but you’ll get the best discounts by entering at least 3 or 5 riders at a time).

3. Get Sponsored

After completing your on-line registration and paying the entry fee for your team, return to this page to download blank sponsorship forms which you can complete with the name and number of your own charity.

4. Collect Sponsorship

Please note that riders raising money for Charity Teams will be responsible for collecting their own sponsorship money, setting up their own online sponsorship and reclaiming their own gift aid from HMRC.
