Each year, when The St Albans Charity Cycle Ride is held, the registration and refreshment area is surrounded by stands set up by exhibitors wanting to attract the many hundreds of cyclists and their supporting family and friends who gather there.

  1. The three charities that are chosen each year by the St Albans Rotary Clubs which organise and run the event. This enables those charities to give those attending a very clear idea of the what they do.
  2. Rotary itself has a stand, which provides information of the organisations diverse activities with a view to attracting potential future Rotarians.
  3. Sponsors which are Silver or Gold (see details of sponsorship packages) have stands as part of those packages, enabling them to publicise their businesses.
  4. Food and drink outlets are allowed, on payment of an agreed fee, to have stands so that those attending the event can be sustained throughout the day.
  5. A cycle repairer is given a stand so that cycles needing tender loving care can get it on the spot.
  6. A band gets a suitable location from which to play music designed to enhance enjoyment of this big community event.

This is not an exhaustive list and anyone can apply to become an exhibitor. Generally, they will be invited to become Silver or Gold sponsors but, if they can persuade the organising committee that what they will bring to the event will really improve the enjoyment of those attending it, then special terms can be agreed. It has to be borne in mind that at the Cycle Ride will be a wide cross-section of the local community, with an age range from 5 to 85 years if not wider. While cycling is obviously central to the occasion, what it most important is that all attending feel that they have had a good time and want to come again the following year.

If you want to exhibit at the Cycle Ride and your organisation is not a chosen charity or a Gold or Silver sponsor, please contact St Albans Charity Cycle Ride by email at:info@saccr.co.uk.
